Refreshingly You
Like looking at my future
through a crystal ball
Your eyes, they draw me deep
into your soul
I see us, growing old –
together
You are so refreshing
Like a nice glass of red
cool aid on a hot summer day
The taste of your lips
quenches my thirst
My thirst for something
sweet when I’m feeling blue
You are so refreshing.
Like a wool coat on a cold day
in December
The caress of your hands
gives me warmth
The warmth that I need to
comfort me at night
You are so refreshing
Like the sweet melodies of a
great love song
The sound of your voice
lifts my spirits
It brings me joy after a
long days work
You are so refreshing
Like a home-cooked meal on a
Sunday afternoon
Your scent lingers – long
after you’re gone
And reminds me of how good
it feels to be close to you
You are so refreshing
Like the five senses we need
– and sometimes take for granted
These things are what make
you special to me
Unique and one-of-a-kind
Something money just can’t
buy
Love…
You’re my type of guy
